With Spring Break behind us and the weather finally turning toward Spring, it’s time to start getting excited for summer at CCH! The Pool & Racquets committee is excited to provide some updates around several improvements across all of our social offerings this coming year.

Pool Updates

  • CCH has enlisted a new management company to operate and staff the pool this summer. This will ensure that we have adequate staffing of lifeguards and staff to support members' enjoyment of the pool all season long.

  • NEW Pool Menu and Service Program. We are excited to announce that Chef Bryce Butcher, CCH’s Sous Chef, will be working in and managing the Pool house Café full time this summer. Having Chef Bryce in the kitchen will enable the staff to support a new and improved menu, improve preparation times, and ensure service levels remain high. Please see the new menu HERE.

  • NEW Poolside Food and Drink Service. We are pleased to be able to offer poolside service from our great CCH service staff on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays every weekend! They will be able to take food and drink orders and deliver to members within the gated pool area.

  • NEW Poolside Service Improvements. We have invested in a pager system to notify members when their orders are ready and help keep loudspeaker disruptions to a minimum.

  • Swim Team Overhaul. Acknowledging last year was a challenge for the CCH swim team, we have worked as a committee to develop a new leadership and support structure for swim team this year. This will ensure accountability and allow for a fun and positive experience for ALL swimmers.

    • NEW Parent advisory council, made up of former swim coaches and collegiate swimmers, to provide structure and mentorship to our new CCH coaching staff.

    • NEW Team Manager position to help coordinate communication around practices and meets.

    • Evening practice times are back!

    • More Swim Meets with new opponents.

    • A well organized and structured environment for practices and meets.

    • Food buffet at swim meets that is more desirable for parents and swimmers.

Racquets Update

  • Brand New Approach. Similar to Golf, we will be building a full calendar of events this summer for all members, regardless of experience level. We want all our members to be able to fully utilize the Club during the summer months.

    • Consistent, regular junior pickleball and tennis offerings that complement swim team practices.

    • Consistent women’s and men’s drill options, with emphasis on stroke technique and fitness.

    • Regular house league days to allow members to meet new people and play.

  • Court Utilization. We want to see you out there!! Please use the Whoosh app to book your court time on our beautiful pickleball courts anytime!

    • NEW!! No Guest Fees for racket sport guests. Members are permitted to bring up to 3 guests to play pickleball or tennis at CCH without a guest fee. All guests must be registered in the Whoosh court reservation system and a court time must be booked online prior to play.

    • Regular Member Events. We will have many events scheduled this summer for all members to play and socialize. This schedule is being finalized and will be published with our May blog update.

    • Tournaments. We are offering three competitive Pickleball tournaments this summer and will have more details on these in our next update.

Much more to come and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
