August Update

POOL

As the Pool season winds down, we remind you of the school hours that began on August 19th.  See the schedule below.  We have received great response from those that experienced the new ‘game changing’ facilities and amenities at the pool this year. 

Save the date for Flick & Float on August 31st! Bring your favorite float and enjoy the flick (RIO).

We have experienced disappointing member behavior and abuse in the men’s showers.  It is apparent that the shower heads are being used as squirt guns and have already destroyed the shower floor in the handicapped shower.  We have locked the door to that shower until we can repair and retrofit it. 

You may not be aware but we fill the pool with irrigation water. Due to the recent flooding, the irrigation water is green and cloudy making our pool water green and cloudy. Brad our Facilities Director has been adjusting and adding chemicals. The chemicals are reading correct and safe to swim in but due to the color of the irrigation water we must put in, it is counteracting. We are continuing to monitor this.

Expectations are for some member involvement in the Swim team for 2025 to enhance the overall experience.  More to come on that topic.

RACQUETS

Pickleball courts have been busy as expected. Please remember to schedule your court and time on our app or website.  The website has a tab for “Pool and Tennis” and the app main menu has an area for “Tee and Court Times”.  Just navigate to Racquets from there.  

The kid’s and adult Pickleball events were well received and there are plans for Pickleball open play and tournaments for 2025.

We are fortunate to have lighted courts, but because we are considerate neighbors the lights are to be turned off at 10:30 PM. The light switch can be found outside the fence toward the the gazebo.
